Move your cursor across the field. Every point knows where you are. Hand-written canvas, no library, running at your screen's refresh rate.
How it's built A few hundred points drift on a canvas; each frame we draw a line between any two that are close enough, fading it by distance. The cursor adds a force field. It is about 120 lines of vanilla JavaScript and no dependencies, the whole thing weighs less than a single stock photo.
