Websites for Builders

A website that wins the £20k extension before you've even met them.

People research an extension or loft for months before they call anyone. A proper site full of your finished work and your guarantees is what turns that quiet research into your next big job.

Or spread it: £59/month, £0 upfront. Pay monthly.

01 · Sound familiar?

The bits that cost you jobs.

  • A £20,000 extension is won or lost on first impressions, and right now you've got nothing to make one with.
  • Your best work is scattered across WhatsApp threads and phones, where no new customer will ever see it.
  • You've got no before-and-after case studies, so people can't picture what you'd do for them.
  • Customers can't check that you're FMB and that you're insured, so cautious homeowners drift to someone who looks safer.
  • People research a loft or extension for months online before they ring a single builder, and you're not in that research.
02 · Why it matters

Nearly all of your customers look you up online before they call. When they search, they are choosing between the two or three businesses that actually showed up, you want to be one of them.

Word of mouth still works, but it travels through Google now. Someone gets your name from a neighbour, searches it, and decides in a few seconds whether you look like the real thing. When someone searches “builders near me”, a handful of your competitors appear, that list is exactly where this puts you.

05 · What it’s worth

One extension enquiry that turns into a job is worth £20,000 or more. A single win pays for the website twenty times over.

Compare that to a directory. A shared lead from a Checkatrade-style site costs £30–£80 and gets quoted against two of your rivals, and you rent that relationship forever. Enquiries through your own website are exclusively yours, and once it is built it keeps working whether you pay for leads or not.

06 · How it works

Four steps, no mystery.

  1. 01

    We talk

A short call or a few messages. You tell me what you do and where you work.

  2. 02

    Fixed quote

I tell you the price and what it includes. No hourly surprises, no scope creep.

  3. 03

    Built while you watch

You see it come together on a private link and say what to change.

  4. 04

    Live and looked after

It goes live, and I keep it running so you can get back to the job.

07 · Questions

The things builders usually ask.

I get most work through word of mouth, why do I need a website?

Word of mouth still works, but when someone recommends you the first thing that person does is look you up. If there's nothing to find, or just a bare Facebook page, that warm recommendation cools off. A proper site with your finished builds and your FMB membership backs up every recommendation and closes the gap.

Will it help me show up on Google for extensions and lofts in my area?

Yes. I build pages around the exact searches your customers make, 'house extension cost [your town]', 'loft conversion [your town]', 'builders near me', so Google understands what you do and where. Extension and loft work is researched heavily online, so being visible for it is where the big jobs come from.

My photos are all over my phone, can you make something of them?

That's exactly what I do. Send me what you've got and I'll turn it into a proper portfolio, with before-and-after pairs where you have them so people can see the transformation. Good photos of a finished extension do more to win the next one than anything you could write.

How long until it's live?

Usually two to four weeks depending on how much of a portfolio we're building. Bigger jobs deserve a bit more care in laying the work out well, but I'll always give you a firm date at the start and stick to it.

Can I show that I'm FMB registered and insured?

Yes, and it matters on jobs this size. Homeowners handing over tens of thousands want to know you're a Federation of Master Builders member, that you're insured and that your work is guaranteed. I put those front and centre so a cautious customer feels safe choosing you.

Can I add new projects and services myself as the business grows?

You can send me new projects any time and I'll add them, which is part of the care plan and keeps your portfolio fresh with your latest builds. If you'd rather update photos yourself I can set it up so you can, but most builders would rather be on site and leave it with me.
